Sunshine Coast Area

The Sunshine Coast Area was established in 1992.  Most Area Members are very active, and membership has grown to about 180. Historical motorcycles owned and ridden by members range from 1908 to 1992. The area holds specific events and rides to cover all these motorcycles from the different periods. Members are continually restoring more motorcycles to ride and exhibit in our events.

Meetings:

Sunshine Coast Area holds a monthly General meeting on the first Tuesday of the month except January.

Meetings are usually held at “The Old Schoolhouse” at the Nambour Showgrounds.  The meeting commences at 7.30pm.

Activities:

Maleny Swap. Sunshine Coast has been holding the Maleny Swap each year for 29 years. We have only missed one year due to Covid restrictions.  The Swap is held in March.

Sunshine Coast Rally.  The rally is held in October.

Tours.  Sunshine Coast holds two 3 /4 day tours each year. Members ride their Club Eligible motorcycles on these longer excursions.

Thursday Breakfast Rides. Once a month on the Thursday morning after the general meeting, members meet at a café for breakfast. We select a different café each month.

Bob’s Old Bike Ride. This ride is once a month and is for “Bikes that only have drum brakes”.

Murray’s Midweek Ride. This ride is every Wednesday and is for all club eligible motorcycles.
