Tamborine Mountain Area (TMA)
The Tamborine Mountain area takes pride in being a very active, friendly and social area. The geographical location of our area gives us endless scenic rides and we cater for the veteran class and up to the more modern motorcycles. We have a good cross section of members who can help in mechanical, riding skills, riding locations, coffee shops and where to buy the best pies.
Inaugural Meeting
The Tamborine Mountain Area idea started May 2005 and the first official meeting was 31/8/2005 with 34 in attendance. Some of those were visitors from other areas. Two members who were at the inaugural meeting are still very active in TMA. Our membership has, in the past reached 110 and is now settled at approximately 90.
Meetings
Are held on the last Sunday of each Month. This can sometimes change due to a clash with another HMCCQ event. Ample notice will be given. We meet at the Tamborine Memorial Hall, 2760 Waterford Tamborine Road, Tamborine at 11:00am. It was discussed and by unanimous vote to hold the meetings on a Sunday in preference to a night meeting. This allows a pre meeting breakfast ride. The breakfast and start point are held at the Gold Coast Motor Museum, Stanley’s Barn, 107 Kriedeman Road Upper Coomera at 8:00am.
Major Events
Tamborine Mountain Area host 2 major events each year:
