Pine Rivers Area
The Pine Rivers Area was the twelfth Area to be formed in the Club, starting up in 2002 with 16 members and 8 members attending the first meeting on 8th October at the Kurwongbah Rowing Club. Two of those there on that day are still in the Area now, but our numbers have now grown to almost 200 making Pine Rivers one of the largest 3 Areas in the Club.
We are a very friendly and busy Area holding many events and rides and we encourage any make, period or style of bike.
Meetings
We hold a regular monthly meeting at 7.30pm on the first Tuesday of every month (except January) at our Clubhouse located at:

Activities
During the year we run several special events:
- The Country Cruise - a 2 day Rally held around May
- The Don Nicol Sidecar Circus - a one day ride for our 3 wheel specialists - always a popular and fun day
- The Stinkwheel Rally (aka the Twoies and Tiddlers Rally) - a one day rally for all two strokes and small four strokes (up to150cc)
- The Mostly Ariel Rally - as the name suggests - a one day rally for any bike, but featuring the wide range of old Ariels in the Club.
- The Pine Rivers Swap Meet - a one day event for all the bargain hunters and shed emptiers out there
We also have a host of regular rides so there is always a chance to drag the bike out and get out there!
- Every Sunday morning. Most Sundays we leave the Petrie markets at 9am. Where we go depends on who is there and what sort of a ride they want to do. Sometimes we may split and do 2 different routes. On the first Sunday after our monthly meeting we have our Chairman’s run to accommodate the older and slower bikes that people want to take out for a run, and we meet for this at our Clubhouse in Strathpine, leaving at 9.00am.
- Every second and fourth Thursday we also hold the “Return to the 70’s Ride” - a run to reminisce those heady days ! A very popular day out with members from several other Areas joining us as well along the route. Leaves from the bakery at Dayboro at 10am.
- On the first Thursday of the month we have a casual ride departing the Banksia Beach Shopping Centre at 9.00am.
- On the third Wednesday of the month there is a gentle run from the Petrie markets down to Dayboro for coffee. Leaves at 9.30am
