Honda VT1100 Shadow ACE C2 - American Classic Edition. 1995 model. 75000Kms
I have been restoring this lovely bike for 2 years, I found it with black spray paint all over it and left a bit unloved, but it had a beautiful motor, with original pipes, so I have carefully cleaned all the dodgey paint off, and found underneath the original blue factory paint, with original silver pinstriping too, so i was very happy, and have been slowly restoring since when i have time.
This bike is currently registered month by month and rinding great. I have had it serviced by both Riders in Coolum and an excellent local mobile mechanic in Gympie, both were impressed by the bike and the engine. It is 1100 CC and water cooled. Sounds perfect. Starts first push of the button. It has shaft drive - means low maintainence and no greasy chain. Easy smooth gear changes, lightweight smooth clutch, good power and torque.. such a nice ride. I replaced the original bars with Aussie made 8 inch apes..bars were $300 - plus I added lead shot in each bar end to reduce vibrations. Now I can ride 1 hand and still see in the mirrors. Grips are Biltwell and very comfy.
The original Honda bars are included in sale if you want to put them them back on. I have also replaced brake master cylinder, engine hanger mounts, cleaned up the wiring, and made it as original as possible. No custom paint or forks or bobber work . I done that before to bikes, and now i believe its best to keep a bike original, epsecially if its a classic Honda. It does have a pillion seat, works and fits but needs recovering. Sissy bar and back pad is great for tying on a swag or gear, and is in good condition too.
It has wiring for a trailer if you want to do serious touring. Gauges and speedo are all working fine. Lights, indicators etc all good. Seat has no tears or holes.. very comfy for tripping around. It has a new front Michellin tyre, thats only got about 300 km on it. Im only selling due to shoulder injury. Cant ride or work as much and have to sell most of my stuff now. Regretful sale, but it must go to someone who will really care for it.
If you look up this bike on USA Shadow forums, there is a lot of love for this bike in this exact colour. The Honda Shadow ACE was made in Marysville, Ohio, USA. This bike is more USA than most Harleys. Seriously. look it up if you dont believe me.. I have read that even the steel used for the parts was made in USA.

This is a genuine sale, i believe in this bike and have put a lot of time into it. That means no offers until you are standing in front of it, and no riding unless full value in cash is held for security. To a genuine buyer that is not an issue.
