Toowoomba Area
The Toowoomba Area was established in September 1982 and was one of the first outside of Brisbane. Membership is approximately 80. Members enjoy monthly rides and take part in charitable events and displays throughout the region.
Meetings
Toowoomba Area holds a monthly General meeting on the first Tuesday of the month. Meetings are held at the Toowoomba Tennis Centre, Water Street Toowoomba. The meeting commences at 7.30pm.
Afterwards we enjoy a chat with refreshments provided.
Activities
- Laidley Swap. Previously known as the Gatton Swap Meet, relocation occurred in 2013 due to changes of the facilities at Gatton Showgrounds. The motorcycle only swap meet has been held for over 30 years.The Swap is held in October at Laidley Showgrounds.
- Toowoomba Rally. The rally is held in September.Based around the Toowoomba and Lockyer valley region the event features rides for older bikes, side cars and dirt riders alike. Taking in the scenic views of the area the rally is generally held over 2 to 3 days.
- Pre 31 Rally. This free event for all HMCCQ members is held at the Czislowski residence at Helidon. For Veteran & Vintage motorcycles 1930 and earlier our annual ride takes in the picturesque Lockyer Valley and surrounding area. Smoko and lunch are provided and the event is held in June each year.
- MAD Rally. (Mostly across Dirt). Originally conceived for older dirt bikes so the pace would be a bit slower than on other dirt rallies. To encourage riders to use street scrambler and other converted road type machines, ISDT replicas etc. Usually held in April.
- Coffee Ride. On the 2nd Wednesday of the month, members meet at 8:30am at the Ampol Service Station in Taylor Street. After a short ride, members catch up at a café for smoko.
- Long Ride. This ride is held on the third Wednesday of every month and organised by any interested Club Member.
- Sunday Ride. Meeting at 8:30am at the Toowoomba Tennis Centre. Members enjoy a ride to a destination for lunch.
