Warwick Area
The Warwick Area was the fourth area to be formed in the club, starting up in 1991 with ten attending the first meeting on 8th May. We currently have over forty members. The first Frostbite Rally was held in 1992 at Leslie Dam. Our area covers the Southern Downs and Granite Belt, with many active members in Stanthorpe and Goondiwindi.
Meetings
Our monthly meetings are well attended and are held at 7:30pm on the first Tuesday of the month (except January) at the Warwick RSL Club.
Activities
Frostbite Rally usually held in July: Our area has annually run the Frostbite Rally starting 30 years ago, initially being held at Leslie Dam. Over time the rally has been held at several venues, Stanthorpe, Warwick and most recently in Allora. This rally is called Frostbite for a very good reason, being one of the coolest areas in Queensland. Our weekend rally is well attended with the promise of cool riding, fireplaces and a friendly atmosphere. The rally is also one of the few timed rallies still in existence.
Rides
The area has a lot of attractions and regular day outings are organised to enjoy the freedom of back country roads. As our area is quite large we endeavour to cater for all riders by choosing venues that can be reached in a reasonable time-frame.
Our Goondiwindi members hold a monthly ride around their own area.
